NORMANBY HORTICULTURAL SHOW
(Special to "Daily News'')
Hawera, Last Night. The Normanby Horticultural Show opened to-day. The weather was good, and a fair attendance for the liiH da v.' Many say the show was better Iha'n usual; certainly it is in many items. The vegetable garden entries were not so numerous, but cut Dowers and pot plants were numerous, also grasses and clovers bread, cakes, mid fruit. Mr. T. llorton's was an excellent .fruit exhibi-
lion. Seeing that many societies were unable to hold a show this season, it speaks well for the Normanby Society, irrespective of the extremely dry season, to meet with such a grauefsuccess.
