Auckland, Last. Night. The No-license. Party started the ball rolling to-night in connection with the forthcoming campaign against the liquor traffic at a mass meeting of the W.0.T.U., when several addresses were given, including one by the Rev. L. Isitt. Amongst other statements made it .was alleged by the Rev. A. Murray that from the lieginning of settlement 377 lives had been lost through drowning as a result of drink in North Auckland's greatest waterway, the Wairoa river.
