TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. Five rink* from the town club played off with Hawera for the shield yesterday, suffering defeat by 20 points. The Hawera teain« were successful in both the tournament and the cl»b matth. FITZROY v. HAWERA. The Fitzroy Club played a three-rink match with the Waitara Club at Waitara yesterday. The green, which is a first-year green, was in splendid order, and an interesting game resulted, the Fitzroy Club proving victorious by 70 to 47.' The visitors were hospitably entertained by the ladies. The results were as follows, Waitara being the firat mentioned in e v ery case:—
