WAXGAXUI REGATTA. Per Preu AatMiation. Wanganui, Last Xight. Ideal weather was experienced for the regatta to-day. Results:— Maiden Fours: Star (Wellington) 1. Union (Wanganui) 2. Maiden Sculls: Ruscoe 1, Braithwaite 2, Holmes 3. Senior Four=: Clifton 1, Union (Wanganui) 2. Senior SculU: Green 1, Marshall 2. Stokes 3. Junior Fours: Union 1, Wanganui 2, Waitara 3. Junior Sculls: Stokes (Araiuoho) 1. Woon (Wanganui) 2. youths' Fours: Star (Wellington) 1,. Senior Double Sculls: McDonald and Marshall (Wanganui) 1. Junior Fours: I'nion 1. Maiden Double Sculls: Star 1. Senior Fours: Clifton 1. This was Ihe best race of the day. It was won by a few feet.
NEW PLYMOUTH BOATI.VC CM 15. The New Plymouth Boating Club got off two races (held over from the 20th February) yesterday afternoon. The keel "boat (without centre board) sailing race, distance 2 miles, was won by J. Brough's Nell. L. Shing'a Wai second. The latter met with a slight mishap, which probably affected the result. The flat-bottom sailing race was splendidly contested, the first ami second boats reaching the buoy together. L. Siting's Moa was first and -1. Brough's Swallow second. R. Simpson's Trio also competed. It was well bandied during the early part of the race, but was un- | lucky enough to lose the wind at a | critical moment.
The leading boats for the President's Cup are: J. Brough's Rimn and Nellie 8 points, C. Parker's Mana 8 points, L. thing's Wai 8, Brough's Swallow (i. L. Siting's Moa 5, C .Parker's Trio 5.
