•Mr. J. McLcod, who had been in the inspectors' branch of the Bank of Australasia, Wellington, for some years, has taken over the managership of the Hawela branch.
Mr. Harold Beauclianip, chairman of the Bunk of Now Zealand, Mr. W. Cal- I louder, general manager of the Bank, and -Mr. liilruth, Chief Veterinarian, were passengers. l>y Saturday evening's boat for Onehuuga. The l'atea Press reports the death of .Mr -Tack Adamson at the l'atea. Hospital on Friday. The deceased had an attack of influenza some few weeks ago, and resumed work Iwfore lie had properly recovered. He suffered a relapse, and pneumonia supervened. Deceased, who was only 28 years of age, was a very keen footballer, and al one time was a prominent member of the llawera Club. The funeral takes place at Wanganui to-day.
