SALE OF "HIRSTLANDS."

On Saturday afternoon, the famous "llirstlauds" Estate, adjoining Normanby township, and within three niiles of llawera, comprising about 1300 acres, was submitted to public auction by the -New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., llawera, Mr. K. 11. -Wan wielding the hammer. There was a very large attendance at the sale, between 400 and 500 people being present, and the sale was undoubtedly the most successful ever held on the coast. A very keen demand for the land was experienced, and spirited competition was displayed for eaeii lot, the whole being disposed of under the hammer.
