CITIZENS' LIFE.
Sydney, February 28. The annual meeting of the Citizen's Life. Assurance Company was held today. The report showed new assurances for £1,211,405 were completed in the ordinary branch, and that the funds at 31st December amounted to £2,077,18!), the increase for the year being £274,57!), the largest 011 record. Further savings had been effected in tile working expenses, the ordinary branch now being . worked iC 'he rute of 10 per cent of the premiums. Almost 60 per cent of the total assets are comprised in public securities. The valuation report shows that, reserves have been further strengthened during the year, and that the reversionary bonus to policy holders has been considerably increased. The totiil suriilus is £00,247.
