RIOTS IN INDIA.
THE POLICE ATTACKED. RIOTERS FIRED ON. Received 14th, 11.30 p.m. Bombay, February 14. The arrest of several Sunni Mohammedans for rioting in Bombay against the Shiah section, led to their stoning the police. Two of the latter were badly injured. The police commissioner and other European officers then fired on the rioters, killing five and wounding fflrty, twenty being seriously wounded. Troops are camping in the streets, but everything is now quiet.
