MR. KEIR HARDIE.

VISIT TO CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. Mr. Keir Hardie, M.P., arrived in Christchurch from Wellington this morning. He is still suffering somewhat from the results of the motor accident lie met with in the northern city, and seemed rather tired after his journey. In the morning he went to see some friends, and at their house he had a rest. Sfcvcral Christchurch residents, including Messrs. H. G. Ell and T. H. Davey, M.l'.'.s, waited upon him. Later oh he was taken for a driye through Fendalton and other suburbs. In. the afternoon lie visited Wainoni Park, Mr. Hardie was accompanied on his drive by the Hon. T. W. liislop, Mayor of Wellington, who also arrived from Wellington this morning. PUBLIC RECEPTION. Per Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The various socialist and labor organisations in Christchurch tendered a public reception to Mr. Keir llardie tonight. There was a large attendance, and the guest was accorded a most cordial reception when lie appeared on the platform. After speeches of welcome had been made, Mr. Keir Hardie delivered an address on labor matters. Mr. Keir Hardie will remain in Christchurch to-morrow, and will leave for Dunedin by first express on Thursday.
