■«. YOUNG MAN BLOWS HIS HEAD OFF. Per Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. This morning Constable Rowe, stationed at New Brighton, was handed a donble-bnrrelled gun found on the beach. It was loaded in one barrel, the other having been discharged. A piece of bootlace was attached to one of the trigger*. On searching the beach, the body of a young man, identified later as T. Oi. Bezett, was found with the head partly blown off. Bezett is said to have come from Tenmkii for a holiday, and was, it was stated, slightly under the influence of liquor when he arrived at New Brighton last night.
