Per Press Association. Christcliurch, Last Night. Lieut. Shaekleton has informed Professor David that as scion as the Niuuod arrives, he intends to despatch him with Joyce, Priestley, llawson, and Cotton, on a sledge expedition. Mawson, who is to lecture in mineralogy at Adelaide, is ophysicisl and chemist to the expedition.
. Christcliurch, Last Night. Lieutenant Shaekleton states that the Premier has made the arrangements with the Union Steamship Company for the towing of the Ninirod to the pack ice by the Koonyn. The Nimrod will leave Lyttelton at 4 p.m. on Ist January, and will pick up the Koonya outside the Heads.
