The Prime .Minister, on behalf of the (!overnmcnt, has accepted the offer, and has expressed to His Kxcellency his deep appreciation of this considerate action. | Speaking to a Herald representative on the subject to-night, Sir Joseph Ward said that this arrangement meant a satisfactory solution of ft very diilicult. problem. The temporary arrangements for holding (be session on the present site of Parliament Hoiwe, which had been contemplated, would, he said, have involved an outlay of no less than £12,000, anil even that would not have provided the degree of comfort that will be available at Government House at a comparatively small outlay. Suitable arrangements would, lie said, have, of course, to be made in regard to a temporary residence for the Governor.
