THE FASTING CURE.
Per Press Association. Wanganui, Lust Night. Dr. Bakcwell, of Auckland, who visited Wanganui for the express purpose of inquiring into the local fasting eases (which have been the subject of widespread publicity throughout the Dominion), left for his home to-day. The doctor interviewed all the persons who have fasted, and made careful examination of each case. He found all persons interested perfectly frank, and, while not courting notoriety, quite willing to give him all possible information. As a result of his inquiries, Dr. Bakewcll authorises the Chronicle to say that he is perfectly satisfied as to the bona fides of every case which came under his notice, iie no longer doubts the genuineness of the facts, and considers that what he lias seen and heard is sufficient to warrant bini in making a thorough scientific study of the whole question, lie proposes to devote considerable time to this work, and upon its completion he will embody the result of his investigations, together with the conclusions at which he arrives, in a series of articles for the press.
