THE DROUGHT BREAKS.
Per Press Association. Christchurch, Monday. There was a heavy thunderstorm yesterday. It will have a beneficial effect on the country. Reports state that for about an hour and a-half rain fell heavily. It will greatly help forward the salvation of the crops and of feed, and will relieve the situation, which was braining alarming.
