Dunedin, Last Night. The thirty-first annual summer show of the Otago A. and I>. Society opened to-day in splendid weather. Entries all! round show an increase as compared with last year, the total being 734, as against 057. The principal increases were in horses and cattle, the former numbering 337, as against 295 last year, and the latter HO, as against 117. The championships were awarded as follows: —Sheep: Border Leicester, ram, Mr. Little (Ngapara); ewe, Mr. J. Ross. English Leicester, ram, Mr. Murdoch (Riversdale); ewe, Mr. Kelland (Timaru). Romney Marsh, ram, AA'atson Shcnnon (Conical Hills); ewe, T. Telford (Balclutha). Lincoln ram and ewe, New Zealand and Australian Land Com-
pany; inbred half bred, Mr. Ensor (North Canterbury); ewe, Sew Zealand and Australian Land Company. Cattle: Shorthorn, bull, Dean's Estate (North Canterbury); cow, Mitchell Bros. (Weston). Ayrshire, bull, A. Gillies (Hampden); cow, W. Cowan (Enfield). Polled Angus, bull and cow, Murray, Roberts and Co. Aldcrney or Jersey, bull, G. Shey (Leith Valley); cow, F. Hellyer (North-East Harbor), Special points prizes were awarded as follows:—Cattle: Shorthorn, J. Dean's Estate (North Canterbury); Polled Angus, Murray, Roberts and Co.); Ayrshire, \V. Cowan. Sheep: Border Leicester, T. S. Little (Ngapara); English j Leicester, E. Kelland; Romney Marsh, Watson Shennan.
