THE NEW PLYMOUTH CONTEST. DOMINION'S BANDS GRADED. 'i-' Per Press Association. ; ' Palmers ton North, Last Night, ' A meeting of the North Island Brass Band Association was held to-niglit. There was a good attendance, Mr. Cohen (president) in the chair. The following lands were placed in gTade "A" for the forthcoming contest at New Plymouth in February: Wellington Garrison, Wanganui Garrison, Woolston Brass, Kaikonxi Brass, South Canterbury Brass, Nelson Harrison (by request), Code's Melbourne Brass, and Newcastle City. The following bands have l«een placed in grade "B":—Auckland Garrison. P.ilmerston North Brass, Ruahine Fifth Battalion, Ilawera Borough, Taran.iki Garrison, Stratford Municipal Town Brass, Regimental Band Ist Auckland Mounted Rifles Hauraki Brass, Gisborne City, Hamilton Town. Denniston Brass, Ist Auckland Battalion, South ( hristchurch Brass, Napier Garrison, Mastertnn Munieipal, Wanganui City, Knraniahake to 8". Hastings Town, Waihi Federal, Blenheim Garrison, Dunedin Citizens', Invereargill Garri.-on, I.vttelt.ii Marine. Invercargill Municipal, Dannevirke Brass. Elite Brass, Timaru Marine, 2nd Nelson Infantry Battalion, Mornini-! :i Brass. 3rd Battalion Rifles, Buller Brass, Dunedin Navals' Brass, Hutt Valley, FeildIng Brass, Tuapcka Brass, Bluff Naval-*'. Jupp's Brass, Marton Brass, Graniiy Creek, and Manaia.
