FALSE PRETENCES.
i Per Press Association. Hastings, Last Night. At the Magistrate's Court, Stephen Duggan, alias, O'Brien, was fined £5 and costs, or in the alternative one month's imprisonment, for obtaining money under false pretences. Evidence by tradespeople showed that the accused had canvassed and secured money for advertisements on a concert programme, they being led to believe the proceeds were for the benefit of a blind girl.
