An instance of this cropped up at the Clifton Count v Cotineil meeting yesterday, when the chairni.in read the following letter which he had received from Mr. J. 1!. Row the county solicitor: —-In view of the opinion recently indicated to me that tho Council consider.-, the time has now arrived when its legal work should be done by a solicitor resident in Waiiara, I have the honor to reign my appointment a, county .solicitor, which I have liehl since IS!)I.
