ACCIDENTS TO SHIPPING.
Per Press Association. , Gisborne, Last Night. The barque Hazel Craig, which left on Tuesday for Whangarei to load timber for Melbourne, encountered a heavy gale, and when a day <>ut it was found that some sand ballast had shifted and water was making in the hold. As the pumps wore choked with sand, the vessel's head was turned for Gisborne, where she arrived this evening, slightly down at the bow. When coming in on her last visit, she grounded in the river, but it was found she made'no water.• The leak is thought not tp be Serious. " The ketch Coronation, which -left; on Saturday morning, encountered heavv weather, and put in to Hick's Bay early on Wednesday morning. During the afternoon the gale increased, and both anchors carried away, and as the captain deemed it unsafe to proceed without anchors, the vessel returned to Gisborne. ........
