CARGO-BROACHERS.
Per Press Association. Dunedin, Thursday. For broaching cargo James Thompson and George Erdmau were this morning sentenced to three months' imprisonment. Accused were employed' on a steamer at Dunedin wharf, and during lunch-time the chief officer heard a noise like breaking timber in the hold. Going there he found the accused with a billhook. A search led to the discovery that several cases had been pillaged and a quantity of boots secreted in another part of the hold.
