o ; Per Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The anniversary yf the Wellington branch of the Y.M.C.A. was held in the Town Hall this evening. It is estimated that about two thousand sat down to tea, and three thousand at least attended the meeting held later. His Excellency the Governor presided, and many members of Parliament and leading citizens occupied seats on the platform. Speeches were delivered by Mr. H. W. Holmes (general secretary), Lyman L. Pierce (national secretary for Australia and New Zealand), and others. The branch has now eight hundred members.
