THE COMMONWEALTH TARIFF.
PROTESTS FROM AUSTRALIANS IN I LONDON. London, September 12. West Australians now in London and representatives of leading firms engaged in the West Australian trade and others interested held a conference here to consider the Federal tariff. Sixty persons were present. The meeting, with only two dissentients, adopted a resolution, "That this meeting views the Federal tariff with entire dissatisfaction and alarm, and expresses complete accord with the West Austrian Government's recent protest." Many who were not present wrote expressing sympathy with the movement.
