SUPREME COURT.

Per Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. The sitting of the Supreme Court, before Judge Button, was continued today. Tukorehu, a Maori charged with assault with intent to commit rape on a girl eighteen years of age, was proceeded with. Thirteen witnesses were examined. The evidence showed that accused had badly knocked the girl about, punching her in tho face, bunging up her eyes, and knocking four of her front teeth out. Accused was undefended. The jury found him guilty, and he was remanded for sentence till Saturday. . Tjiym, Thursday. The remaining eases against Parsons, late Town Clerk of Waimate, have been withdrawn, the evidence being the safuie as that in the case in which he was afcuuitted yesterday, and going to show more instances of mudjdle than of criminal intent.
