FIRES.
Per Press Association; Auckland, Last Night. An outbreak of fire occurred this morning on the premisesroad occupied tfy Messrs. Gilmore, Joll, and Williams, coachbuilders, and Messrt. Smith and Herbert, livery stable keepers. The city brigade were quickly 011 the scene, but the flames had obtained a good hold, and a considerable amount of damage, estimated at about £340, was done before the brigade succeeded in extinguishing the outbreak. The fire is supposed to have originated in a loft, rats being credited with having caused the ignition. The building was insured for £OOO, and Messrs. Gilmour and Joll had £SO (sic) insurance on a number of buggies which were in the workshop.
