BARRETT ROAD BOARD.

The Barrett Road Board met yes ten day. Present: Messrs G-. Blanehard (chairman), Honeylield, Lcaland, and Russell. it was decided that the chairman and Mr Russell meet the borough engineer on the ground in connection with proposed work oil the Cutlicld road. A petition from sixteen ratepayers asked that the Board form and grade Cutheld road between Vivian and Fulford streets.—Referred to the chairman.

The Borough Council will be grained permission to lay water-pipes in Outheld road, subject to the supervision of the chairman, and conditionally upon the Council leaving the road in good order.

it was decided to ask Messrs Wibon and Grey to act as solicitors to the Board.

The County Council will be asked! to pay over the amount of the Boird's subsidy, and will bo informed that the Board hopes to have the amount increased, as the Devon road extension now relieves the Main South road of a largo ntoount of main road traffic. Accounts amounting to £Bl 19s 7d were passed f<y payment.
