BATHING CLASSES.
To the Editor. Sir—ln your paper the other day, I noticed a local bearing on the proposed swimming classes in the Recreation (jrounds. This would be all very well had we no other suitable place, but in view of the fact that we have such excellent swimming facilities in our public baths, I consider the course proposed is nothing other than a waste of money, i judge by the tone of the paragraph alluded to that there are some real or imaginary difficulties in the way of the Central School availing themselves of the excellent facilities already existing. My own opinion is that the dilDcultics (if any) eould easily be overcome if tlie wish were there, as we all know where there is a will there is a way. I would also point out that if the Central does not get a bustle on the West End will get a big lead in other matters beside swimming. This is to be regretted, as I feel sure that if some life were infused into the matter all difficulties could be overcome.-—X am, etc., PARENT.
