TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.

At a meeting of the Agricultural Society's Committee on Tuesday evening there was a good attendance, Mr VV. Ambury presiding. The meeting discussed the Government's action in prohibiting the dairy produce graders' acting as judges at summer shows, and it was decided to write to Mr If. Okey, M.H.R., with a view of having tho decision re-consider-ed, it was pointed out in discussion that the factory managers were making their butter so as to gain the highest marks from the graders, and it rt only right, therefore, that the graders should do the judging. it was decided to hold the annual show on Wednesday and Thursday, November 2/ an 2S, and that entries close on the preceding Saturday The schedule was discussed and slightly amended, and eventually a m.bW niittee, consisting of Messrs F.
