WILSON & NOLAN'S' REPORT,
Poultry: (iood entry, and prices ruled very high We quote—Ducks la lOd to 2s 2d, young ducklings Is, cockerels Is lid io 2s, roosters 2s, hens Is lOd to 2s 3d, Brown Leghorns 3s Id. Fruit: Apples were in good demand and sold well. We quote—Prime eating apples, Ss to Us.
Ai our mart sale on Saturday we had good attendance, and made a big clearnce of niniiturc, etc.—in fact, it was early half-past 5 before the last lot as knocked down.
We held a sale on Wednesday under distress warrant at Koru, and disposed of a quantity of useful farm implements, etc., at prices in favour, of the purchasers. JENKINS, MATTHEWS & PIGOTT'S I REPORT.
Jenkins, Matthews and Pigott report: —We held a clearing sale on account of Mr F. F. lloskin at Ohanga on Friday, and we had a good attendance of buyers. Some of the cows were rather old, but taking the sale right through they averaged very lair prices, some of tiicm reaching £U 10s. Breeding sows 42s (id to 07s (id, horses £3 12s Od to £lO 10s; the furniture and implements sold exceptionally well. At Urcnui on Monday we had a very large yarding (principally dairy stuff), and although /bidding dragged a hit, we succeeded in disposing of a good many [head. U'e quote: Yearlings 24s Od to 2Ss, 18 months' steers 54s to 595, springing heifers 55s to SOs, ditto cows £3 to £4 2s (id, cows and calves 00s, store cows 45s to 51s, 2% year steers £4 3s, stags 595, fat cows £3 8s to £5, boners 14s to 255, pony £4. We also sold rections 15 and 10, Eiverton townshin f or £45. *' '
After the stock sale we sold all Mr Amoore's household furniture and ef[ects, but although there was a large attendance of the public, prices were not us satisfactory (for some articles) as we would have wished.
\\ e report having sold Mr C. N. Howe's coaching business, between Waitara and Uuti, to Mr R. Peppcrell at a price satisfactory to both buyer and seller.; also Mr G. J. Maelrie's nice little farm adjoining Waitara, to Mr W. R. Wilson at £2O per acre; also several Waitara borough sections, ranging in price from £ll to £SO each. D At Waitara stock sale we had a very poor - muster, and bidding was slow Store cows made 40s to 54s 6d, springing heifers 00s to 70s, fat heifers SSs, forwards cows up to 70s, hoggets 14s colt £lO. ° '
