FARM AND DAIRY.
Mr J. It. Cruiekskank, of Messrs Collett and Co., whose headquarters are in Cardilt', Great Britain, has just received advice from the firm's Sydney agents that the prices Messrs Collett and Co. have returned for Australian butters handled on consignment, more than favorably compare with the ;e----tunis coming back from London.
The North 'J'aranaki Dairy Company has agreed to dispose of its present season's output by open consignment through Messrs Mills and Sparrow. This makes the fifth year in succession that the company has put its output through this channel, a fact which says much for the linn and its local representatives (.Messrs K Griffiths and Co.)
The next Tarauaki A. and P. Show at -Vow Plymouth should prove unusually interesting and successful. A striking feature of tin- all'air will be the big showing of pedigree Jerseys, nearly all the leading brooders "of the North Island having promised to exhibit. Xorth Tnranaki is practically the home of the Jersey in Xew Zealand, and will put in the liokl itself a large number of top-notch-ers. The horse classes, too, should be very attractive, in that several of the outside successful breeders will be. exhibiting, line breeder has promised to show a team comprising animals that have never been beaten in the show ring, and have a colonial reputation. Hotter buyers are not having a very rosy time of "il in Taranaki just now. As many as fifteen have been on the warpath, interviewing factory managements and trying to obtain outputs, but so far very little business has been done. In view of the prices offering, it is considered pretty certain that the big majority of factories win consign this season.
