' Wellington, Last night. ! The annual meeting of the Wellington Racing Club was held to-night. The president, Mr J. said the stakes paid last year totalled £13,030, an increase of £2745 compared with the previous year. Totalisator receipts w.tc £14,336, an increase of £4723. The total receipts were £25,360, an increase of £5839. The club's assets amounted to £39,754, and liabilities £32,837. The financial position of the club had improved during tiio year by about £SOOO. I
