Per l're9s Association. j Invcrcargill, Last night, The stability of the borough was evidenced by the confidence ■ shown by the public in regard to the 131 £IOO debentures offered for the borough consolidation loan, the tenders for which were opened to-night. There were 18 tenders amounting to £20,500. The tenders accepted were £2OOO at 5 per cent, premium, £2OOO at £2 Is 6d, £2500 at £1 10b, £4OO at £1 5s 3d, and £7200 at £1 ss. The last tender tendered for the whole amount. The total premiums, amounted to £239 Is. The debentures bear interest at 4% per cent., with a 28 years' currency.
