IRISH DISAFFECTION.
RIOTERS ON TRIAL. London, August 28. Mr J. P. Farrell, Nationalist member of the House of Commons for North Longford, and fifteen others, were committed for trial at Longford for creating ft riot and cattle driving in the Newton Forbes district and assaulting the police whose charge batons failed. Bail wag accepted. Farrell objected to the jurisdiction of the Court, urging that the cist- should be taken at Newton Forbes. Tlio present Court, he said, was a Court of Star Chamber. If time permitted, a writ of prohibition would be obtained from the High Court. FURTHER COMMITTALS. Received 29th, 10.45 p.m. Xondon, August 29. Fifteen others were committed for trial at Longford in connection with the cattle driving cases, including Mr McKeux, candidate for the sou! hern diviwon of Longford, who dclivaid an inflamatory speech.

The Mflltovra (Galwayl branch of the Irish National League resolved that a deputation wait on graziers, and ask than to surrender their lands in November, before the people are obliged to take stronger means to bring the odious class to their senses.
