ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

Per Press Association. Raiding, August 24. An inquest was held yesterday concerning the death of Mrs Augusta Billett, who was found dead with her head in a bath tub. The medical evidence was that death was due to heart failure. Deceased had been Buffering from a severe form of heart disease. She dropped ■doad. with her-face in the tub, death taking place before her head reached the 1 water.

An old man named Eolfe died suddenly from heart disease at Apiti yesterday. Dunedin, August 25. Win, Darragh, aged about 60 years, boatswain on s.s. Mararoa, died suddenly lust evening, expiring while climbing some steps in a hilly part of the city. It is not known at present whether deceased has any relatives in the colony.
