THE OPIUM HABIT.
Per Press Association., Hastings, August 23. I'wo Chinamen, Sue Shing and Sue Chong, pleaded guilty at the Magistrate's Court this morning to charges of smoking and permitting opium-smoking on their premises, and wore fined £3 and costs. The more serious charges of keeping opium' and harboring smokers were adjourned until September 0.
