THE DUNEDIN BURGLAR.
A SMART ARREST. Per Press -Association. Dimediu, August 21, ' A sequel to the burglaries in the city reported yesterday occurred this aftornoon, when a young man named Henry i 1 laneis Smith, said to bo a recent arrival from Christehurch, was arrested on a charge of breaking and entering the offices of Hogg and Co., timber merchants, and stealing therefrom an overcoat and' bicycle. After the robbery, the detectives were banded a piece of sock, which had been cut off by the So" and which had been used as a' glove to' conceal the trace of finger marks. This piece is said to exactly fit part of a sock found in accused's room. The stolen property has been recovered. It is understood accused has confessed his guilt
