BURGLARS IN DUNEDIN.
Per Press Association. | Dunedin, August 20. I The premises of Hogg and Co., timber I merchants, Rattray street, was entered Iby burglars last night or this morning. The thieves used explosives in an enidcavor to blow open the safe, but this failed, the only result being to damage the lock to such an extent that it could not be opened this morning. Nothing was stolen. Palmer's quarry, at Logan's Point, was broken into during the night by thieves. The magazine at the quarry was entered, and a quantity of fuse and explosives taken away. It is supposed that both outrages were the work of the Bamc gang. So -far no trace of the offenders has been discovered.
