Kobert Thomson was ordered to come up for sentence when called on, while Carl Jackson was sentenced to nine months, and Daniel Callaghan to 12 months' imprisonment for broaching cargo. In the case of James Wright Campbell, 6? years of age, against whom there were several charges of theft, etc., sentence was suspended to enable his ',,-.;; Honor to consider what was best to be' SJ done. A charge of inflicting grievous '** bodily harm against James Russell was -v under consideration when the Court • '-♦ rose. *
Other charges on the list are: Arson, against Thomas Miller, and theft against John McMillan. Wellington, August 10. At the Supreme Court, to-day, Joseph .'; Norman, in whose ease the jury dls- ■ v agreed last Friday, waß convicted of an - ,« unnatural offence, and sentenced to two , '. ?fc years' imprisonment. William Jowetd ,■ ■'•f Hirst who was eonvictrd of perjury last •'* week, was sentenced to niie months' imprisonnmt. At the Supreme Court Charles Dunn and Frank Morrow were charged with wounding one Grenberg with intent to \ do bodily harm. Dunn was found Hot , guilty.
