INADEQUATE POSTAL BOXES.
To the Editor. Sir,—ln your issue of this morning (19th) you draw attention to the wretched facilities for posting parcels, etc., at the new Post Office. But I wish to point out that it is" not possible to post a foolscap-size letter in any of the openings provided Jiy a sapient Postal Department. Imagine my feelings when last evening (Sunday) I wished to post a letter of the above size. Nothing could be done, as the general office was of course closed, and I could not hand it over the counter, as is now the custom for anything above the smallest -packet, so I had to miss that mail, and this morning present my by no means large letter to the counter clerk, who seemed greatly worried as a number of other citizens were bothering him on the same errand.—l am, etc., CITIZEN.
