Fei Preen Association. I Wellington, August 19. At the Civil sittings of the Supreme Court to-day, Michael Bee Demuth, clerk, of Wellington, claimed £IOO damages from St. George A. Dowsing, clerk in the Land and income Tax Department. It was asserted that last Decern? ber defendant told one William Lingard that his, (defendant's) daughter, aged : IG, had been taken from the custody of her parents .and Induced by,plaintiff to cuter into clandestine correspondence and otherwise rebel against the author- ; ity- of her parents. Defendant asked that plaintiff be dismissed from the employ of Lingard and Co. Defendant also ' wrote to Lingard and .Co. saying he intended taking criminal proceedings. .jj 1 against plaintiff.
