REMANDED FOR MEDICAL EXAMINATION.

Per Press Association. Wellington, August 8. Thomas Perry Peddle, who was convicted of having violently assaulted Mr Cutten, Sheriff of the Supremo Court at Napier, came up for sentence before Mr Justice Cooper to-day. Peddle, n'as remanded till Saturday. Meantime he is to be examined as to his mentat condition. If the report is satisfactory he will be liberated on finding satisfactory sureties that he will keep tha peace.
