, Per Press Association. >m • m ~W ellinß t ou - August 8. the eighteenth annual meeting of the Wellington Meat Export Company was held to-day. The report which, was 3 adopted, recommended the payment of , a dividend for the half-year at the rate , of 8 per cent, a similar dividend bavin™ , been paid for the previous half-year. Mr [ W. C. Buchanan and Mr M. Elgar were , re-elected directors. Tho chairman, Mr . (t. Foster, said tho work done during [ the year was about the same in volume { as that of the previous year. Tho dirccj tors were pleased to report the stoady maintenance of the company's products. ]The chairman said the directors had for 'some time thought an annual conference !of freezing companies, with the object 'of improving conditions of trade, would ibe beneficial, and it was hoped that such 'a conference would have been held.
