A SCHOONER IN DANGER.

The steamer ivapanui tried lo tow the schooner Stanley from her dangerous anchorage.- off Urewa last night, Out, tile darkness coming on, and the sea being heavy, she had to abandon the attempt. The Ivapanui made another attempt to get the schooner in tow this morning, but failed owing to the fierce gale that is raging. The Stanley is now about one mile off the Orewa beaeh| She is slowly drifting towards the breakers. DRIVEN ASHORE. THE CREW SAFE. Per Press Association. Later.
