INLAND DISABILITIES.
LEGISLATORS IX MAIN TRUNK DISTRICT. Per Press Association. Hamilton, July 21. At Taumarunui last night, the Parliamentary party were entertained at a very largely-attended banquet by the reidents of the township and settlers of lOlnira County. In the course of the speeches, the disabilities of the district under the native land law? were emphasised, and members were Urged to support measures to relieve the situation. The importance of reading the backblocks and of the rapid construction of the Ongarue-Stratford railway also received prominence. • The party left on their return to Wellington to-day.
