FIRES IN INVERCARGILL.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES. Per Press Association. Invercargill, July 21. Shortly before 11 on Saturday night, an unoccupied building in Leet street was gutted. This is the second time this house, which is owned by Mr A. Gait, has caught fire while unoccupied. The cause is unknown. A six-roomed house in the same street, owned and occupied by O. E. Johnston, was completely destroyed at 5 on Sunday morning. The family were at the THuff at the time. This house was also damaged b.v fire some months ago. The house was insured in the Yorkshire office and the furniture in the South British for £l5O. Shortly after noon, an incipient fire ill a four-roomed house in Esk street, brought the bvismla out again, They quickly disposed of the outbreak. The insurances are unknown.
