CROWN SETTLEMENT CONDITIONS.
FAILURE TO COMPLY. At the Land Hoard meeting on Tuesday a 'report was presented, setting out ihe names ot selectors wlio had not complied with the conditions, and the reasons advanced for the defections:— 1. Liiisb, sec. l(i, block 5, ilgmont, reported not to have made sufficient improvements, asked for a further extension ot time; four months was allowed. L. 1). Hirst, see. 8, block o, Ohura. sent 110 reply concerning fiis non-residence; the Board will require him to show cuuao why his section should not be forfeited. I.ichtwark and Thompson, sec. 7, block 14, Waro, non-resident, explained they laid ordered material for building a house. It was decided to ask when they would begin to reside oil the section, kyons 13r05., sec. 1, block 4, Ohura, asked' lor an extension of time to enable them to build a new house. Six months' extension was granted. E. Jainicson, sec. 0, block !J, Ohura, asked for twelve months' exemption from resident.-. Dilcss he is on the section in three n: :t'M it will be forfeited. C. Gooch, sec. 14, block l(i, Ngatiinaru. was allowed three months' extension of time in which to make improvements. |
Improved Farm Settlers' cases were dealt with: 0. ,r. Hyait, see, V>, block 2, <bmra, sent no reply concerning 11011residener, and was deferred for furtlier inijuirv. d. Collins, sec. !l, bloek 0, Tolovo. jn-omised to take, up residence immediately. The ranger will report. .T.
