Association was anxious to have an expression of opinion from the factory managers as to whether the points won by all entries of butter in the show' should not be given on the cards attached to the exhibits. Till-re was some discussion on the question, a doubt being expressed wtielher the posting of the points .had caused any falling oil' in the entries. Compared with the 1H0(> show, the present had shown Unit 23 butler factories hud dropped out and 10 fresh ones competed, while four cheese factories dropped out and six new' ones come in. E\ entually it was decided to recommend the A. and P. Association tljat in future all exhibits of butter should have the points scored attached to them.

The Association vetoed the proposal of the A. and P. Association to hold an interprovineial butter competition, one district to challenge another in rotation.

On the motion of Mr liockell, seconded by Mr Gwillim, it was resolved to recommend to the A. and P. Association 1o establish a New Zealand championship class, to be' awarded on the aggregate points of the average grade f»i the season and the scores in classes 1 and 3.

Mr Greville announced that he would give a yearly prize of .to to the winner Ot the butter championship, and hoped that someone would give a similar prize for cheese.
