Sutherland, of Inglewood, was entrusted the preparation and management of the supper, the result being a plentiful supply of choice delicacies suitable to the occasion. Mrs. Sutherland, in her energetic and cheerful manner, assisted by members uf the committee, laid and re-laid the supper tables, keeping this important pari of the evening's entertainment going merrily, to the. evident satisfaction of all present. Messrs. John Paterson and P. Chapman performed the onerous duties of M.C.'s in an efficient manner. During the supper interval "extras" were kindly played by the Misses Richards, Leech, and Kenny. Despite the very unfavorable weather prevailing about thirty couples graced the floor, while a good number of gents, had to took on at every datiee. Visitors were present from Inglewood, Kaimata, Waiiui. and Katapiko. Dancing was kept going with unflagging energy until well towards morning, when the rain having slackened o!V a littV, the tired dancers were able to gi»l home without the discomfort of getting wet through.
