ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
Per Press Association. Auckland, June 14. A seaman named Rufand Gonsvales, of tho s s. Waiotahi, was washed overboard during the passage of the steamer from Auckland to Tauranga. Deceased was a native of Cape Deverdes, and came ito New Zealand about 85 years since in a whaler. He leaves a wifo and large family. Invercargill, Tune 14. As G. Bull, carter for McGaven and Co., was driving into to™, the horses beeamo fractious. Bull was thrown out, and the wheel passed over him. He died | at the hospital to-night.
