MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.

The Waitara Borough elections resulted in tin; return of William Brent 177. Frederick James Brabant 178. Alois Klenner 198, Henry Spurdle 195, George Varey Tate 192, James Williamson 190, William Robert Wilson 160. The unsuccessful candidates were A. E. Dug dale 60 and W. T. Joll 159. The successful candidates for seats on the Inglewood Borough Council were: George W. Bennett 227, George Young 214, Frank H. Brwon 181. Job W. Winfield 178, Donald H. McDonald 169, Al fred E. Surrey 166. The others were: H. W. Taylor 164, F. W. Cone 149, H. Mayne 108. Mr. H. B. Curtis was elected Mayor, defeating Mr. H. J. M. Thomson by 207 votes to 140.
