New York, March 7. The University of Chicago, which lias been responsible for many startling proposals affecting everyday life, lias surpassed itself. Professor Henderson, a member of the university staff, lias shocked even Chicago by advocating a school for lovers.

He declares that engaged couples should be given expert instruction ip the art of love-making, in order to lift modern courtship out of the state of barbarism into which it has lapsed. Among other courtship reforms lie in sists upon eliminating extravagance, flirtation, and the acceptance of presents. The women of Chicago are indignant at Professor Henderson's criticisms, and otie newspaper observed sacrastieally that the only man in Chicago who needs instruction in love-making is the professor himself.
